High School Senior Photography FAQ

Start by selecting a portrait package category from our three High School Senior Portrait Collection that best matches your goals and budget.

Most families make their final portrait package decisions after viewing their final images, so there is no pressure to decide everything upfront.

For outdoor sessions, early morning and late afternoon typically provide the most flattering light.

For studio sessions, scheduling is flexible throughout the day.

Prime dates—especially late summer and early fall— fill quickly because of High school yearbook deadlines, so scheduling early gives you the greatest flexibility.

A booking fee of between $50 - $100 may be required to reserve your session date.

The fee is applied toward your final purchase and allows us to reserve staff, time, and location specifically for your session.

Many senior sessions include multiple outfits.

For most outdoor locations, Picture It Studios provides a private pop-up changing tent so outfit changes are comfortable and convenient. This eliminates the need to search for restrooms or change clothing in the family vehicle.

You're not alone. Many seniors arrive feeling uncertain about posing or being in front of the camera.

We'll guide you through natural posing, relaxed expressions, and simple adjustments that make a big difference. Throughout the session, you'll also have opportunities to review images directly on the camera, helping build confidence as the session progresses.

Most seniors quickly discover the experience is much easier— and more enjoyable—than they expected.

This is where the experience becomes fun.

We'll create a variety of images that include both yearbook- ready portraits and personality-driven photographs. You'll receive guidance throughout the session so you never feel awkward or unsure about what to do next.

Selected images receive professional “hand-retouching” to reduce minor skin imperfections, remove distractions, and provide a polished final appearance while still looking natural.
